James Choo
Mr. James Choo brings over 12 years of experience in accounting, financial management, corporate restructuring, and advisory services across multiple industries and markets. Before joining GWNP, he spent five years with Big Four firms in Malaysia and Singapore, followed by roles as an in-house accountant and a global freelance consultant. His work spans property development, services, retail, manufacturing, and other commercial sectors.
At GWNP, James plays a key role in driving financial transformation and organisational improvement. His responsibilities include business process optimisation, tax and regulatory compliance, team restructuring, strategic planning, and enterprise risk management.
James has extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, group finance, financial planning and analysis, and corporate advisory. Known for his analytical precision and strategic insight, he is a trusted leader in navigating complex financial environments.
He has audited high-profile clients and supported transactions valued at over SGD 40 million, demonstrating strong capability in managing high-impact financial engagements with professionalism and diligence.
Jacey Woon
Ms. Jacey brings over a decade of comprehensive experience in human resource management and business operations, with strong expertise across Singapore and Malaysia. Her career journey reflects a strong progression from hands-on HR execution to strategic leadership.
She began her HR journey with a leading retail corporation in Malaysia, where she built a solid foundation in key HR operations and developed a deep understanding of employee engagement and workforce management. She then joined a multinational corporation, where she expanded her exposure to regional HR practices and working with diverse teams.
Jacey has been with GWNP since its early days. As a core member of the original leadership team, she played an instrumental role in building all departments from the ground up. Working closely with cross-functional teams, she also involves in key operational matters. Her leadership style emphasizes both structure and empathy, shaping a balanced and collaborative workplace, and helping the organization grow while staying people centric.
With experience spanning Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, she remains passionate about aligning HR strategy with business goals, fostering team cohesion, and creating a positive, sustainable work environment.
Sam Chew
Sam brings with him 14 years of experiences in professional and corporate services, his career spans across audit and assurance, M&A transaction services and financial due diligence in KPMG Malaysia to later joining CIMB Group’s Strategy division where he was tasked with corporate finance and investment managements roles which entailed the evaluation of corporate structures and significant risk considerations, as well as ascertaining compliance to regulatory requirements of relevant authorities.
Sam is a strong believer in fintech and blockchain technology and has keen interest in its positive impact on the future financial market developments, Sam had the opportunity to worked with a Thai based licensed Digital Asset Exchange and tasked with helping the company promote greater digital adoption across the region, contributing in various initiatives to expand their geographical reach.
Sam thrives on embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth. His personality is defined by a mix of enthusiasm, resilience, and strong sense of connection to others.
